It’s a weird, wild world out there kids and it can be mighty confusing. But don’t fret! for things are looking up. Obama’s in power. That’s a good thing…no? Sure, there’s a war (or two) on, the economy’s sliding, but so what? It could be seen as a sign of rebirth, a way to fix old habits and move on. No? You’re right. This is the weird era. But few bands mingle the confused yet positive sentiments of young adulthood in the modern age than Vancouver’s own Mother Mother, whose blend of Pixies-esque harmony-driven riff-rock make these strange days seem not just tolerable but, well, fun. No? They’ll play tunes from their new album, “Oh My Heart” at Richards on Richards on November 28 with Portico and Geoff Berner.
