Music Waste June 9-13

Just curious, but do any of you remember New Music West? Yeah… me neither. Well that defunct indie music festival was a big deal back in the day, and Music Waste was the complete antithesis. It was a small tiny one day event, where the underground music scene played in crappy venues such as the cracked out Columbia, but as years passed NMW went downhill and MW went up. And low and behold, NMW is now the premier Vancouver indie music festival, and this year they’re bigger and better than ever! Not only are they showcasing music, but also art and comedy.

Get your festival passes at Zulu Records (1972 W 4th Ave), Scratch Records (726 Richards Street), Limelight Video (2505 Alma Stree), Redcat Records (4307 Main Street), and Audiopile (2016 Commercial Drive). For more details, visit the Music Waste website.
